Dreams Photomanipulation Contest - Last CallHello,
I am very excited to announce our first contest. There will be some great prizes for the winners; the contest rules will be minimal. Please, do adhere to them, or your submission (s) will not be considered.
The contest theme will be: DREAMS
It can be anything from your darkest nightmares, to your sweetest dreams.
The RULES:
1) There can not be any exaggerated nudity. Please, keep it tasteful.
2) Try to keep the gore to a reasonable level; nothing overly graphic will be considered.

Looks like a good movie but except for the mirror part, has nothing to do with our contest.

You are invited to create an image of darkness on either side of the mirror. Please remember that we are a dark group and the contest should be in more of a gothic nature this time around. You are welcome to be as dark as you like, but im seeing ghosts and alter ego's. Thing you might not want to see.

The Anti-Cliche ChallengeDo you see the same stock being used over and over? Do you find that you do the same theme and technique over and over?
No matter how you see a cliche (with the same stock, or continuous style), in the long run, such images can become trite from being overly used. Not that it's a bad thing to have your own particular "style" because it does make it easy to identify your deviations. Still some photomanipulators do change their style and technique now and then to give their gallery a fresh look.
For me, the stock below are examples of stock that have been overly used. Editing or using them in a completely different way would "break" the cliche.

Hello Everyone!
It's time for another contest!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

The theme for the contest is "Wings of Love". I've thought really hard about this, and I'm allowing you to make a darker piece for the contest. I figure love can be dark and light too. However, I don't want the pieces TOO dark. I don't want to see someone killing someone or any "real" bloody hearts.

Sooo here are the rules

Must be new, as of February 13, 2013

Contest will run from February 13, 2013 to March 14, 2013

You may enter two pieces, only one will be choosen for any prize though

Must be a photomanipulation

ALL stocks must be credited and linked with a direct link to the image

We encourage you to make use of brushes (remember to credit if they are not your brushes)

Lots of stock to choose from! You have to have a total of 10 stocks in your deviation. You have to use at least 2 from the required stock plus your wings. You can choose the additional 4 stocks to suit your image. You can use more textures, models, and other stocks as your deviation needs. That's 7 stocks.

NO PREMADE BACKGROUNDS. PERIOD. If you can cut models out and add more things onto a premade you can make your own background (I have faith in you!!!)

filters, actions, and brushes do not count as part of the stock requirements. Though they all must be listed.

You need to be a member to enter

No Hate Art. Nothing ugly or demeaning. No depicting the cruel and unusual treatment of anyone, especially children and animals.

We reserve the right to decline submissions that do not comply with dA's rules and regs, or they do not comply with our own group rules. If your deviation does not follow the contest rules it will not be eligible to win any prizes

Also, the wings you use don't have to be angel or bird wings. You can use fairy or transparent wings as long as they are wings!
